Angels and a bell

On 15 August 2026, from 4.00 pm, a Holy Mass was held in the church to mark the 90th anniversary of the church’s consecration on the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Before the Mass, the restored bell dedicated to St John of Nepomuk – whose image is depicted on the bell – was consecrated. A new yoke was also purchased for the bell. The bell was cast in Litoměřice in 1815 and originates from the Church of St Prokop in Touchořiny, which was demolished in 1978. 
Freshly restored statues of angels have been returned to their places on either side of the altarpiece; these had been stored in the diocese’s repository as a precautionary measure since the 1990s to prevent their theft. 

Restoration work on the bell and the angels was carried out in the first half of 2026 by the Roman Catholic parish of Proboštov, which also covered all the costs.
