On the initiative of Otto Budělovský from Čeřeniště, this cross was selected for restoration. He successfully negotiated a 100% grant for its renovation with the Labské skály Local Action Group.

Martin Šerák, a restorer of cast-iron crosses, submitted a price proposal totaling 72,400 CZK, stating that this amount covers: the restoration of the cast-iron cross (repair of the old casting, model Ferrum 79; replacement of removable parts; cleaning; painting; gilding; inscription on the plaque; and installation). 

On April 23, 2026, the chairman of the Malečov community association filed a grant application through the State Agricultural and Intervention Fund’s Farmer Portal at the MAS Labské skály headquarters in Chabařovice.
