In the summer of 2025, the administrator of the Roman Catholic parish of Proboštov, Dean Karel Havelka, agreed with Tomáš Jelínek, who takes care of the area around the church, that trees would be felled and bushes removed in the northern part of the cemetery. The Malečovský rozhled association is also interested in clearing the cemetery after documenting it. On October 20, 2025, the chairman of the association met with Tomáš Jelínek at the cemetery to agree on the scope of work and, in particular, the selection of trees to be felled. After the inspection, it was concluded that all mature conifers (fir, spruce, larch) pose a threat to the church bInuilding, especially its roof, due to their height and the possibility of falling. Since all the trees in question have a trunk circumference of more than 80 cm at a height of 130 cm above the ground, the association will submit a request for their felling to the relevant institution, in this case the municipality of Malečov.
After the trees have been felled, the association would then organize, in cooperation with local residents, an event to clear the land and remove vegetation from the gravestones.
The following photo gallery gives an idea of the condition of this part of the cemetery.
