Technical solution for motion transfer

On August 27, 2025, an inspection of the wind pump in Krabatmühle in Upper Lusatia, Germany, took place. The association's chairman was accompanied on the trip by designers Michal Hofman and David Güttner, who was equipped with a head-mounted camera, a long-focus camera for close-ups, and, most importantly, a drone with a camera. At David Güttner's suggestion, an inspection of the wind pump in Grumbach (see photo) west of Dresden was also carried out. This was a fortunate idea, as this pump demonstrates the conversion of the rotary motion of the paddle wheel into the rotary motion of a vertical rod into the waterworks, just like the pump in Němčí. The previously visited pump in Višňová and the pump examined today in Krabatmühle convert the rotary motion of the paddle wheel into a linear reciprocating motion of the rod. In addition to taking photographs for design work, David Güttner also shot videos from a drone.
